SUP Yoga Class with Regina next Monday!

What to Know

  • Register on mindbody - we need at least 5 to run the class.

  • ON TIME arrival assures time to get everyone setup with board, paddle, anchor and life vest, waivers done, begin safety review on land,  and ready to launch at 10 am.
  • This is an all levels practice - beginners are welcome,  no paddle experience needed, but you must know how to swim.

  • Wear swim or yoga clothing. Be prepared to get wet!

  • Wear sunscreen (hat and/or sunglasses optional), floating cord recommended.

  • Bring your water bottle your own dry bag and anything else you might need.

  • This is a weather permitting activity. We will cancel on Monday am if rain is anticipated.

Join us for a journey to the heart of yoga

Passionate yogis both on & off the mat — each of these teachers has found the yoga practice to be a force for healing — physically, mentally, emotionally & spiritually. Join them for a powerful 200 hour teacher training that will provide the strong foundation you need to find your own voice as a yoga teacher. Explore asana, breathing, anatomy, yoga philosophy & ethics plus meditation. Sessions meet on weekends (approx. 2 per month) from October 2018 through May 2019.

Liberation Prison Yoga with Anneke Lucas

September 29 & 30,  2018  • $400. 

Anneke Lucas conducts trauma yoga workshops, exploring the Unconditional Model she developed working in prisons and jails offering Raja Yoga. As the founder of the non-profit organization Liberation Prison Yoga, she adapted programs to best serve the needs of the incarcerated.

The Unconditional Model focuses on creating an emotionally safe space in which some may wish to share, while others may wish to hold space for others. You will learn tools to heal from trauma, to work with traumatized populations and how to help reverse trauma in others.

You will do meditations and mindfulness exercises in the Unconditional Model method focused on unconditional, non-judgmental acceptance and radical honesty.

We will cover:

- Yoga for Healing the body and mind
- Global Healing
- The Unconditional Model
- Exploring Privilege and its role in trauma
- Exploring inner power dynamics in trauma healing
- Journaling
- 12 Elements of a Trauma informed Yoga Practice
- Practice-teach (optional)
