for the adventure of a lifetime — a yoga retreat
to one of the most beautiful countries on earth
2 nights in Oslo/3 nights on the remote island of Senja
Daily yoga classes, yoga nidra, meditations and personalized astrological guidance for 2020 ...
plus Oslo walking tour & activities in Senja to observe Arctic landscape, untouched Norwegian nature & marine life.
Our journey begins in Oslo. We will stay two nights at the prestigious Clarion Collection Hotel Gabelshus — ideally situated to experience Oslo's history and culture. Breakfast is included and Hotel Gabelshus is located in the elegant borough of Frogner, in central Oslo, with plenty of vibrant restaurants and cafés nearby. Oslo's main attractions, such as the Vigelandsparken park, Aker Brygge and the Royal Palace are within easy reach. A walking tour will be part of our first day in Oslo, and evening yoga will help us adjust to the time change. We will continue to explore Oslo on the second day and enjoy morning and evening yoga.
On day 3, we leave for the magical, fairy island of Senja with it’s breathtaking views and some of the most dramatic fjord scenery in Norway. We may even see porpoises playing in the crystal clear waters. The natural beauty, changing Arctic light, stillness and quiet on Senja will bring you home to yourself.
On Senja Island, our home will be the Mefjord Brygge, a traditional Norwegian resort located between the mountains and fjords in Northern Norway. It is the perfect place from which to explore Senja. We will enjoy outdoor activities of all kinds, plus an outdoor wood-fired hot tub, sauna and — yoga, yoga nidra and (fingers crossed) the Northern Lights. Sightings intensify around the equinox months so March is the time to go!
Transfer from Oslo Airport to City Center Hotel • 2 nights at Clarion Hotel Gableshus • Breakfast in Oslo at the hotel • Walking tour with guide • Transport to airport for flight to Senja • Transfer to Mefjord Brygge • 3 nights plus 3 meals each day at the hotel (all hotels - single occupancy unless you would prefer otherwise)
Plus, daily morning and evening yoga, hiking, exploring and the company of like-minded souls on the adventure of a lifetime!
Many add-ons available on Senja
Nordic cultures view the Northern Lights as a bridge between heaven and earth. Twink will offer each adventurer a written astrological overview of the year ahead based on your individual chart. This will connect you to your deepest wisdom as you immerse yourself in this magical place and set intentions for 2020 ... the opening of a brand new decade.

Join Thourya for her monthly YIN Class
Friday evening • September 20th
6:30-8:10 • by Donation
Yin yoga uses passive and long holds of specific poses to target the dense connective tissue in and around the joints and is meant to complement our regular ‘Yang’ practices (Power or Vinyasa flow yoga, and other dynamic forms of exercise as well) in order to find balance within our bodies and minds. This style of Yin yoga is not restorative and can be challenging but “its reward is sweet and lasting” Each class is themed and sequenced in an original way to be accessible to yogis of all levels as well as non-yogis, so that all can benefit. Come see for yourself how powerful this practice is!
Join Twink for Yoga Nidra at the Newtown Yoga Festival • Saturday, August 24th
Newtown Community Center • 8 Simpson Road
The Newtown Yoga Festival was formed as a holistic solution for anyone and everyone through the transformative wisdom and practice of yoga. It is our way to honor lives lost, celebrate the strength and resilience of human-kind and offer healing with a compassionate practice and conversation on peace.
The festival has been designed to promote positive well-being, health and community. Yoga, by promoting movement and mindfulness, has been proven effective in reducing stress and depression and is a valuable mechanism for coping with physical and emotional trauma.
Twink's Yoga Nidra will be part of the "Yoga Buffet" at 9:30 am • Registration for the festival begins at 8:30 am
In support of the festival, all classes are cancelled at Yoga Dimensions on Saturday, August 24th.

Harmonium Workshop with Mirabai Moon • 4:00 pm - 6:00 pm
If you have ever wanted to learn to play harmonium, lead a Kirtan Chant, or just sink more deeply into your devotional yoga practice, then drop in for this sweet exploration of harmonium and chant with Mirabai Moon.
In this workshop you will learn the basic mechanics of how to work a harmonium, an acoustic organ that is frequently used to play kirtan music. Harmoniums make a beautiful drone sound, like an OM, created by bellows that push air through reeds when you pump them, kind of like an accordion. It's an AUM-azing meditation tool!
You will learn several very simple beginner friendly kirtan chants, so you can get started chanting while playing the harmonium right away with confidence and ease. And you will be given chant sheets to bring home with you, so you can continue to practice your newly acquired skills at home. Don't have your own harmonium? Don't worry, there will be extra harmoniums on hand to use, and even harmoniums for sale!
Please contact Mirabai Moon at firstname.lastname@example.org to reserve a harmonium for the workshop.
